PURPOSE:To uniform the yarn winding tension and stabilize the yarn layers and also to prevent the yarn from sloughing off from the bobbin or falling off in loops by moving the bobbin back and forth at a relatively high speed when winding a yarn on the bobbin, thereby reducing the differences in the winding diameters. CONSTITUTION:While traversing with an amplitude L, the traversing position is advanced as much as a distance A to a certain position in the middle of the stroke of travel T at a speed greater than in the conventional traverse motion, thereby to build up the basic layers of yarn 5 with a slope gentler than that of an inclined plane 3.
