PURPOSE:To control an optical characteristic such as a focal distance, etc, of an optical lens, by using a transparent dielectric plate having an electrooptic effect characteristic, as a base body, and providing plural concentric circlelike transparent thin film electrodes insulated to each other, on both the surface and the reverse side. CONSTITUTION:At first, on the same positions of the surface and the reverse side of a transparent dielectric plate having an electropatic effecg, a circular electrode 2 of a transparent thin film having an external drawing-out pattern is vapor-deposited and formed, and subsequently, a transparent insulator 3 is vapor-deposited on both its surface and reverse side except its peripheral part. Subsequently, on the transparent insulator 3 of both the surface and the reverse side, a circular electrode 4 whose diameter is larger than that of the circular electrode 2 is vapor-deposited concentrically, and its upper surface is covered with a transparent insulator 5. In this way, when the circular electrode is enlarged little by little as to its diameter and is laminated, insulating it by the transparent insulator, an electronic lens having transparent thin film circular electrodes P1, P2... whose diameter is different little by little from each other is completed, and the focal distance can be controlled by varying voltage applied from the outside. |
