PURPOSE:To obtain a KONJAK (paste made from the starch of the devil's- tongue) cake having plain and delicious taste and high shape-retainability, easily, by solidifying a sweet food such as YOKAN (sweet jelly of beans), bean jam, etc. by dehydration and drying, and enclosing the food with KONJAK. CONSTITUTION:A sweet food such as YOKAN, bean jam, etc. is solidified by dehydration and drying to obtain e.g. a sweet food 2 having square pillar shape. The food 2 is fixed in a box, and liquid KONJAK is poured into the space surrounding the food 2. After solidifying the KONJAK, the food is taken out of the box to obtain a KONJAK cake composed of the sweet food 2 covered with the KONJAK 3. The shape of the sweet food 2 may be a disc or sphere as well as a square pillar. The shape of the KONJAK cake is also arbitrary. The KONJAK may be unseasoned or seasoned to salty or sweet taste. |
