PURPOSE:To obtain stable and excellent photoconductive characteristics by using a hydrogenated amorphous carbon film contg. nitrogen atoms as an electric charge transfer layer and amorphous SiGe film contg. specific atoms as an electric charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is constituted by laminating the charge transfer layer 2 and the charge generating layer 3 successively on a conductive substrate 1. The layer 2 in this constitution consists of the hydrogenated amorphous (a-)carbon film contg. at least the nitrogen atoms. The layer 3 consists of the hydrogenated a-SiGe film contg. carbon atoms and contg. at least either of phosphorus atoms or boron atoms or the fluorinated a-SiGe film contg. the carbon atoms and contg. at least either of the phosphorus atoms or boron atoms. Adequate transferability is thereby provided to the layer 2 and further, excellent electrophotographic performances such as electrical chargeability, durability, weatherability, and environmental staining resistance are provided thereto. The layer 3 is extremely thin in film thickness and has the excellent photoconductivity to visible light or wavelength near semiconductor laser light. |
