摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To detect the embedding position and direction of an embedded pipe such as a Hume concrete pipe or polyvinyl chloride pipe, by arranging either one of a magnetic force-of-line generator having a rotatable magnetic member and a sensor detecting magnetic force to the embedded pipe. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic force-of-line generator 5 having a rotatable magnetic member 3 provided therein is arranged on the surface 2 of the ground and a sensor 4 is inserted in an embedded pipe 1. The magnetic member 3 is rotated in X-axis and Y-axis directions and the sensor 4 calculates the angle theta1 of inclination of the magnetic member 3 detecting the max. magnetic force to the surface 2 of the ground. Next, the magnetic force-of-line generator 5 is moved by a distance L to repeat the above-mentioned operation and the angle theta2 of inclination of the magnetic member 3 at that position is calculated. By this method, the vertical distance from the surface of the ground to the sensor 4 can be calculated. Further, from the change in the angle of inclination of the magnetic member 3 when the sensor 4 in the embedded pipe 1 is moved, the direction of the embedded pipe 9 can be calculated.</p>
