<p>PURPOSE:To enable microscopic observation of a cell in high magnification, by thinning the thickness of a transparent bottom plate of a cell-fusion chamber, thereby shortening the distance between an objective lens and a cell to be observed. CONSTITUTION:A pair of plate electrodes 2, 4 are fixed to a pair of supporting plates 12, 14 by bonding the electrodes excluding the cell suspension holding part 6 aligning a pair of edges of the electrodes in parallel. A transparent thin glass plate is bonded to the plate electrodes 2, 4 as a bottom plate 16 of the cell suspension holding part 6 and insulators 8, 10 are inserted into the gap of the opposite edges of the plate electrodes excluding the cell suspension holding part 6. The thickness of the bottom plate of the cell-fusion chamber can be decreased by this structure to enable the cell-fusion operation under observation of the state of cell-fusion with a microscope having a magnification power of as high as e.g. >=600.</p> |
