摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the heating amount, to dissolve a frozen substance completely, and to enable a stable thermal storage operation by enlarging the heat exchange area between a medium for thermal storage and a high temperature refrigerant, and also by improving a heat exchange capacity through utilizing the current which is generated by the agitation of the medium for thermal storage. SOLUTION: This invention is concerned with a thermal storage device which performs thermal storage by cooling a medium for thermal storage such as water to form a frozen substance, and then storing the frozen substance. A water circulating circuit 30 comprises a thermal storage tank 31, preheating agitator 11, a subcooling heat exchanger 50, etc., and the thermal storage tank 31 stores the frozen substance. The preheating agitator 11 is equipped with an agitating container to constitute a dissolving means 11. The agitating container is provided with the upper and lower headers in which a refrigerant circulates, and with a heat exchanger tube 70. Two or more heat exchanger tubes 70 for heating water are provided, so that the heat exchange area between the water and the high temperature refrigerant can be enlarged. Moreover, since the heat exchanger tubes 70 are provided at the parts where the velocity of the turning flow that is generated in the agitating container is highest, the heat transfer between the water and heat exchanger tubes 70 are improved.
