PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device provided with a detecting means for detecting an improper state concerning a carrying mechanism for carrying waste toner to a toner recovering part. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with the improper state detecting means for detecting the improper state in terms of carrying the waste toner in a waste toner carrying body 11 capable of carrying the waste toner to the toner recovering part. The carrying body 11 is constituted to be attached to/detached from the image forming device, where a detecting means 17 having a detection area in the attachably/detachably shifting area of the carrying body 11 is disposed, and a follow-up member 16 is attachably/detachably disposed in the detection area of the detecting means 17 in response to the attaching/detaching operation of the carrying body 11, whereby the existence of the carrying body 11 in the image forming device is detected. |
