PURPOSE:To test a long weld line at a time and a curved body surface to be inspected easily for leak, by covering a weld zone with a flexible sheet. CONSTITUTION:To one surface 1a of a body 1 to be inspected, adhesive tapes 3a are adhered along and on both sides of a weld zone 2, and both-sided adhesive tape 4 is adhered to them. Then, a beltlike flexible sheet 5 of hard rubber is stuck covering the weld zone 2 and overlapping with both-sided adhesive tape 4. To seal a testing fluid passage 6, adhesive tapes 3b are stuck on both ends of the flexible sheet 5, and adhesive tapes 3c are also stuck on both ends of the sheet 5 respectively. A gaseous ammonia supplying means 7 charges pressurized gas in the passage 6. Further, the weld zone 2 on the side of the surface 1b of the body 1 to be inspected is coated with bromphenol B. If the weld zone 2 has a defect, the bromphenol makes a characteristic color reaction of royal purple. |
