<p>PURPOSE:To improve power receiving factor by a method wherein the effective and ineffective power of a load, commercial power source and generator are detected when operating the generator in parallel with the commercial power source to be calculated for the adjustment of power factor value. CONSTITUTION:The commercial power source 1 and generator 2 are connected to the same bus to supply power to a plurality of loads 11-13. At this time, the effective and ineffective power of the commercial power source 1, generator 2 and entire loads are respectively detected by detectors 16-18 to input into an arithmetic control unit 20 constituted of micro computers the output together with that of a power receiving point power-factor setter 19 for the control of a generator field controller 21 and prime mover governor circuit 22. Therefore, the calculation and control of required effective and ineffective power from the P-Q characteristic of the generator 2 unnecessitate a phase advancing capacitor to keep the generator 2 at the maximum output with good power receiving power- factor.</p> |
