<p>PURPOSE:To allow continuous control with no contacts being small, light and cheap by a method wherein a separate excitation converter having a reverse conversion operating region is connected in parallel with a field winding, and this control angle is varied to control shunt current of the field. CONSTITUTION:One DC-DW motor for car drive is constituted of an armature 1 and field winding 2. The separate excitation converter 8 avaiable for power reverse conversion from the DC side to AC side is connected to the field winding 2 in parallel shunt with the AC side of this converter 8 connected to the existing AC auxiliary power source bus via the transformer 9. When AC input voltage is E, the control angle of the converter 8alpha, resistance of the field winding 2 Rf and field current If, the following equation is obtained: If=(-1.35.Ecosalpha)/Rf0. Accordingly, it shows the possiblity of the variation of field current If by varying the control angle alpha. Thus, continuous control with no contacts is avaiable with a field control circuit obtained in small size, light weight and cheapness.</p> |
