PURPOSE:To prevent the creep of turbine blades in a train, by providing a ring on the tips of the turbine blades so that the ring surrounds a blade wheel and by housing the ring in a cooling chamber provided on the inside of a turbine casing. CONSTITUTION:Revolving blades 3 are planted in the peripheral part of a rotary plate 2. A surrounding ring 4 is provided on the tips of the revolving blades 3 so that the ring rotates in a groove 8 cut on the inside of a casing 5. The groove 8 is caused to function as a chamber for cooling the ring 4 by coolant supplied from the outside of the casing 5 through a passage 6. This results in preventing the creep of the turbine blades 3 and improving the turbine efficiency. |
