PURPOSE:To provide a titled vessel which can transport and refine molten iron simultaneously by constituting a vessel for receiving molten iron in such a way that the blowing tuyere for molten iron treating agents provided to said vessel is located above the liquid level when the vessel is in an erecting state and is located below the liquid level when the vessel is titled to the position where the port provided in the top part of the vessel is horizontal. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of receiving molten iron from a blast furnace into this vessel for transporting of molten iron (hereinafter expressed as vessel), this vessel is put in an erecting state to locate a tuyere 1 on the wall surface upper than the bath level of molten iron 2. On the other hand, in the stage of treatment such as desufurization, dephosphorization and desilicondization of the molten iron, a tuyere side piping and a stationary side piping are beforehand connected. While gas is fed through the tuyere 1, the vessel is titled and in this state, treating agents for the purpose of said treatment are blown and the required reaction is completed efficiently. While the gas is kept blown until the erecting state is attained after the completion of the treatment, the vessel is titled to the home position. It is possible to deliver the molten iron after the treatment easily by tilting the vessel to the side opposite from that in the treating state. |
