PURPOSE:To improve reliability of a test through implanting of gas to a total surface of a part to be tested and filling of it with the gas, by a method wherein a seal layer on a bottom plate of a tank or a bottom keeping-cool layer under the bottom plate, and pressurized ammonia gas is charged between the seal layer and the bottom plate. CONSTITUTION:A leak test is made on a bottom plate 11 of an aboveground tank through formation of a seal layer 15 on an inner tank bottom plate 12 of a tank T or a bottom keeping-cool layer under the bottom plate and charging of pressurized ammonia gas between the seal layer 15 and the bottom plate 11. When pressurized ammonia gas 17 is implanted in a gap between the seal layer 15 and the bottom plate 11 through an ammonia gas implanting line 18 being open to the seal layer 15, it is preferable to form a space 16' with an expansive inner tank bottom plate 11' and the seal layer 15, and to inflate the bottom plate 11'. This causes filling of a total surface of a part to be tested with ammonia gas and permits the improvement of reliability on a leak test. |
