PURPOSE:To enhance picture reproductivity, by providing a coat layer formed by dispersing a specified amount of carbon black or more into a polymeric binder softenable in water, and forming a photoresist layer on this coat layer. CONSTITUTION:A coat layer obtained by dispersing>=0.61pt.wt. carbon black into 1pt.wt. polymeric binder softenable in water is formed on a transparent support, and on this layer a photoresist layer developable with water is provided. After imagewise exposure, the photoresist layer is developed with water, and said coat layer is removed on the part disclosed by said development. As said binder, methyl cellulose, ethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate, polyacrylate, polymethacrylate, polyvinyl butyral, nylon 66, etc. are exemplified. |
