PURPOSE:To omit to use a transfer drum by directly writing electrostatic images in a pressure fixing roll. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic image is written in a pressure fixing roll 1 by a multi-stylus head 2 and developed by a developing device 4 and the developed toner image is fixed on a recording paper 9 by a pair of pressure fixing rolls 1, 6. The remaining toner is removed by cleaning felt and the remaining charge is destaticized by a destaticizing device 8. The surface insulating layer of the pressure fixing roll 1 is formed by coating with urethane resin or the like, spattering of silicone oxide or the like and oxidation.
