<p>PURPOSE:To realize coding with high efficiency and without causing an overload, by comparing a differential decision with two threshold values and coding coordinate data with the vector value having the differential value smaller than a certain value as well as with the absolute coordinate value. CONSTITUTION:The coordinates Pi or Pi' is delivered according to the fact whether the enclosed point is the changing point obtained immediately after a pen-up state is changed to a pen-down state. Then the differential between the point where the coding is over and the point enclosed next is calculated in terms of the (x) and (y) directions to obtain DELTAxi=xi-xi-1 and DELTAy1=y1-yi-1. Then the question whether or not these differential values are larger than the prescribed value DELTAm1 is decided. If the differential values are smaller than DELTAm1 both in the (x) and (y) directions, DELTAi or DELTAi' is delivered according to the fact whether the point is equal to the changing point. If not, whether or not the differential value is larger than the threshold value DELTAm2 is decided again. If both differential values are smaller than the threshold values, respectively, the differential vector is divided.</p> |
