PURPOSE:To provide a wet friction material with excellent abrasion resistance, prepared by adding black to a base material consisting of tetrafluoroethylene/ propylene copolymer and tetrafluoroethylene/ethylene copolymer. CONSTITUTION:The friction material is prepared by mixing 15-65wt% tetrafluoroethylene/propyline copolymer, 5-60wt% polytetrafluoroethylene and/or tetrafluoroethylene/ethylene copolymer, 5-50wt% carbon black as filler, 1-10wt % vulcanizing agent, vulcanizing accelerator and age resister and 18-75wt% short glass fiber and/or potassium titanate fibre, heating the mixt. under pressure and forming it into a desired shape, followed by second vulcanization. |
