PURPOSE:To hold mechanically a suspension spring on a setting position to facilitate an initial load setting adjustment by setting a position correspondng to the initial setting load through a positioning member in a state wherein the suspension spring has been compressed to a prescribed position by hydraulic pressure and then by relieving the pressure. CONSTITUTION:A piston 22 is shifted in the right direction by turning the hundle 24 of a pump 6, and a piston 3 is moved in the left position by supplying pressure oil into a hydraulic chamber 5 causing a suspension spring 2 to be compressed. Then, the tension of the suspension spring 2 is not applied to an adjusting nut 4 and a nut 20, so that the adjusting nut 4 can be easily moved to a prescribed position, and then locked with the holding nut 20. And, after the initial setting load of the suspension spring 2 is set, the piston 22 is shifted in the left direction and the piston 3 is shifted by turning the handle 24 of a pump 6 in the reverse direction to cause the right end surface of the spring sheet 13 of the piston 3 to be brought in contact with the left end surface of the adjusting nut 4. |
