<p>The safety brake is for a carriage running on a ladder, used for supplying building materials on sites. Raising and lowering is by winch and cable. It is a pivoted assembly on the bogie chassis (1) with a cross shaft (14) and eccentric (18). The shaft is perpendicular to the rails (3). The cable (8) is fixed to the pivoted assembly (9) and a spring (16) joins a lever (15) on the assembly to the load carrying tray, sliding on the bogie. There can be two cross shafts (10,14) with levers (11,13) connected by a crank (12), the cable then connecting to the second shaft (10).</p> |
