PURPOSE:To enable to manufacture the uniform zinc shot spheres of high quality, by comparting a container of melt into a melt pouring part and a melt well and connecting their bottom parts, then providing the nozzle of a specified diameter at the bottom part of the melt well so as to be located at a specified distance from a cooling water surface. CONSTITUTION:Flow of a dross into a melt well 2 is prevented by comparting the container 1a of a nozzle receiver 1 into the melt well 2 and a melt pouring part 4 with partitioning plate 3 and connecting their bottom parts via a throat 3a. The ceramic nozzle 5 for dripping melt is provided on the bottom part of the melt well 2 and the diameter (d) of the nozzle tip 5a is made 1.0-2.5mm.phi and at the same time the distance between the nozzle tip 5a and the water level 6a of cooling water 6 is made ca. 2-ca. 20mm.. Thus the uniform spherical shot spheres of zinc or zinc base alloy can be manufactured. |
