Fixing wedge extractor for forging dies - has oil-filled pressure vessel operating impacting cylinder-piston controlled by three-way valve

The extractor for removing fixing wedges from forging dies is fitted on a truck (1) with a set of supporting legs (10). On the platform of the truck is a pump (2) delivering hydraulic oil via a three-way valve (8) either to the pressure vessel (3) or to the hydraulic cylinder (5'). On top of the truck platform is mounted a second platform (4), height-adjustable by screw spindles (5). The hydraulic cylinder with piston (6) and impact mass (7) is fitted on the second platform. To remove the wedge (11) from the forging die (12), the three-way valve delivers pressurised oil either to the vessel or to the hydraulic cylinder which then produces the mechanical blow against the wedge.
