PURPOSE:To obtain an engine utilizing solar heat, by providing a power cylinder, a gas transfer cylinder, a solar-ray receiving section, a cooling section and a heat exchanger, connecting a pressure chamber to the heat exchanger, and connecting the heat exchanger to the solar-ray receiving section and the cooling section. CONSTITUTION:When gas is heated and expanded in a solar-ray receiving section C, pressure in a pressure chamber 3 of a power cylinder A is raised and a piston 2 is moved toward the bottom dead point. This causes turning of a crank shaft 5 and hence a cam 11, so that the contact point of a connecting member 10 is moved toward a lower portion 11a of a cam 11 and a free piston 7 is moved to the right. Resultantly, gas in a second gas chamber 9 is passed to a heat exchanger E through a cooling section D, so that the temperature of gas in a container 17 is lowered and pressure of gas in the pressure chamber 3 is lowered. When the piston 2 comes at last to the bottom dead point, the gas pressure becomes minimum. However, the crank shaft 5 is turned further by the rotational energy of a flywheel F and the piston 7 is moved to the left by the cam 11, so that pressure in the pressure chamber 3 becomes maximum at the top dead point. |
