PURPOSE:To reduce strain of even-numbered order and to lower a noise level by laminating and arraying nonmagnetic material and magnet materials alternately in the width direction of a magnetic tape, and setting arrays of magnetic poles of the magnet materials in the width direction of the magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:Magnet materials 40 having an easy magnetization axis in the array direction of the magnet materials and nonmagnetic materials 41, after being laminated and arrayed alternately in the width direction of a magnetic tape, are magnetized by being applied with a magnetic field as shown by an arrow 43. Then magnetic charges appears in the magnet materials 40 as represented as symbols (+) and (-), and a distribution 43 of magnetic flux density has maximum values near respective magnetic charges (+) and (-) like a sine distribution. Consequently, the erasing head has a high S/N ratio and less noises, and is magnetized easily, and facilitates the cleaning of abrasive grains. |
