PURPOSE:To stop a moving material at a home position in a short time with a high precision, by controlling a driving current, namely, a driving force for the moving material so that the driving force by which the moving material passes through the home position is smaller than the driving force by which the moving material approaches the home position again after overrunning the home position. CONSTITUTION:When a driving current IM is in the negative (positive) direction, a moving material 1 is moved to direction X(Y). A home position detector 6 outputs a detection signal SH which is in level ''L'' (''H'') when the moving material is off from a home position P0 in the direction Y(X). A movement direction detection signal SD is in level ''L'' (''H'') during the movement of the moving material to the direction X(Y). A driving stop circuit 10 controls the driving current IM by signals SH and SD so that the driving current IM by which the moving material approaches the point P0 after overrunning the point P0, that is, signals SH and SD are in level ''L'' or level ''H'' together is smaller than the driving current IM by which the moving material goes away from the point P0. When this control is repeated prescribed number of times, the driving stop circuit 10 stops the current IM, and the moving material stops at the point P0. |
