PURPOSE:To test the yield strength of a reinforcing-rod connection part while reinforcing rods are laid, by fitting chuck holders, each having a reinforcing-rod insertion opening, to the rams in twin cylinders and the cylinders, and a couple of wedglike split chucks by the respective holders. CONSTITUTION:Twin cylinders 1 and 2 are provided successively in parallel; the 1st chuck holder 5 is provided laterally together with the rams 3 and 4 in one odby, and the 2nd chuck holder 6 is also provided similarly together with the cylinders 1 and 2 in one body. The chuck holders 5 and 6 hold the 1st and 2nd wedgelike split chucks 9 and 10 in their holding holes 7 and 8. A reinforcing rod F is run through the 1st and 2nd holding holes 7 and 8 from reinforcing-rod insertion openings 13 and 14 and the 1st and 2nd chucks 9 and 10 are inserted to clamp the reinforcing rod F in split openings 11 and 12. Then, a pressure medium is supplied to both the cylinders 1 and 2 to expand the rams 3 and 4, and thus tensile force is applied to the reinforcing rod including a joint F to confirm that it has prescribed yield strength. |
