PURPOSE:To obtain a gaseous discharge type displayer with medium- and large- sized dots showing stable display characteristics by a method wherein the display utilizes anode lines divided into at least more than one in the discharge cell spacing wherein picture elements are formed and part of the cathode screen in the scanning region for source fire discharge provided in contrast with the anode line. CONSTITUTION:The drawing illustrates a partial exploded perspective view of a gaseous discharge type displayer. A diode 12 for preventing the flow of the reverse discharge current is added to an anode line 4 separately arranged for stabilizing the operating conditions of a discharge for displaying and a source fire, so that a series of perpendicularly intersecting circuits are organized by connecting each of the anode line (such as 4-1) integratedly to an anode switch (such as 8-1). Thus, by separately arranging anode lines within the discharge cell to allow them to operate, it becomes possible to realize a stable expansion of display discharging in the discharge characteristics of a gaseous discharge displayer wherein the medium-sized luminous area of the display dot is being made greater. |
