A machine for processing bottles, glasses or the like, e.g. for filling and/or sealing vials is proposed, which essentially comprises a conveying element (14) for feeding the vials (11) to the various processing stations (17, 18, 50, 51, 52). The processing stations (17, 18, 50, 51, 52) radiate out from a pipe (19) which forms the axis of rotation of the conveying element (14). Inside the pipe (19), which is designed and arranged so as to be vertically adjustable, there are arranged an adjustment spindle (21) and a lifting spindle (20). The radial arrangement of the processing stations (17, 18, 50, 51, 52), the lifting movement of the tools carried out from inside and adjustment of the tools which is also carried out from inside mean that such a filling and sealing machine can be of very compact construction and that the tools of the various processing stations can be very easily accessible. <IMAGE>
