Arrangement for channelling sewage out of a rainwater tank or the like via a non-controlled throttling stretch (16), having an upstream shaft (14), lying upstream of the throttling stretch, having a supply from the rainwater tank (10) or the like to the upstream shaft, and having a delimiting means for delimiting the level in the upstream shaft and for the level-dependent throttling of the supply to the upstream shaft by means of a throttling device. In order to ensure satisfactory operation of the delimiting device, even after rain-free periods of any length, the invention provides that the delimiting device has a sensor (18) in the upstream shaft (14) which is arranged at a distance above the sludge-channelling bottom of the upstream shaft and by means of which there can be generated, from a predetermined minimum level (h) in the upstream shaft (14), an output signal as regulating signal for the throttling device (20) to regulate the minimum level in the upstream shaft (14), said minimum level being equal to, or virtually equal to, that maximum permissible level in the upstream shaft which gives rise to the maximum permissible discharge through the throttling stretch. <IMAGE>
