A device for treating and canning fish or parts of fish, in which support frames held in the manner of a swing are arranged on a conveyor, on which support frames the raw fish is placed in portions to correspond with the contents of the can, and in which the fish is guided in a relatively calm manner on the bottom of the support frames through a treatment chamber to an unloading station. In the unloading station, the support frames are moved into a tilted position via a control lever connected to said support frames. Provided in the region of the unloading station is a displaceable carriage with a slide which can be displaced back and forth and pushes the fish from the inclined support frames into the cans located below the unloading station and arranged on a further conveyor.
