摘要 PURPOSE:To contrive to save power for a motor by a method wherein the amount of current supplied to an air pump is regulated according to variations in the amount of air supplied, in a device in which an air jet port for jetting out air from a motor-drive type air pump is provided in proximity to a nozzle of a fuel injection valve. CONSTITUTION:In a device wherein a fuel injection valve 3 is provided in an intake pipe 1 at a position downstream of a throttle valve 2 and an air assist cap 5 having an air nozzle 54 opened at its lower end is fitted on the outside of a fuel nozzle 32 of the injection valve 3 with a small gap 51 provided therebetween, air pressurized by the air pump 8 is supplied to the gap 51 through an accumulator 7 and a three-way solenoid valve 6. A motor controller 15 which controls the motor 12 driving the pump 8 stores an intake air amount fed from an EFI computer 10, and the amount of current supplied to the motor 12 is regulated according to the variations in the intake air amount obtained in the computer 10. Accordingly, power saving can be contrived and the overheating of the motor 12 can be prevented.
