This rocker arm is intended for the fitting of a hydraulic backlash compensation element, which is carried with an outer part sliding in a bore of the rocker arm and is axially supported by an inner part on a base closing off the bore. In order to avoid more exacting requirements with regard to machining accuracy and surface hardness on the bore accommodating the backlash eliminating element, a bushing is pressed into a through bore of the rocker arm, which at one end has a closed base and at the other end a flange directed radially outwards, by means of which the bushing is supported at the end on the rocker arm. <IMAGE>
