A device for determining colour comprises four photoelectric transducers constructed on a semiconductor substrate (1), an interference filter (31 to 34) on the light-receiving surface of each transducer, a colour filter (41 to 44) for selecting a specific passband on each interference filter, and three electrodes (21, 23, 24) for delivering electrical signals separately from the transducers, one of the electrodes being provided in common for two of the transducers. The sizes of the light-receiving surfaces of the individual transducers are fixed such that the transducers exhibit a spectral sensitivity distribution which is matched to the spectral value function of the CIE (Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage) XYZ calorimetry system. <IMAGE>
