The electron beam welding process for dissimilar metals (5, 6) with transverse oscillations of the electron beam (15) consists in the welding joint (16) between the dissimilar metals being displaced at a predetermined velocity (v) and by the electron beam (15) being emitted with transverse oscillations relative to the welding joint (16) at a predetermined amplitude (A) and frequency (f). Here, the displacement plane of the welding joint (16) and the plane of the transverse oscillations of the electron beam (15) are arranged relative to one another at an angle of <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
