A drainage device for laundries, which is operated by steam throughput, with an autoclave (1) and with a pressure cover (2) attachable on the laundry-loading orifice (3) of the latter, has a locking device which consists essentially of a plurality of pins (9) which are arranged preferably uniformly distributed and project downwards from the edge region of the pressure cover (2) and which, in the closed position, pass through counter-orifices on the autoclave (1) and are provided, at their lower projecting ends (10), with protuberances (11), of which the top sides (12) facing the pressure cover (2) can, in the pressure-closed position, engage behind synchronously drivable blocking bolts mounted on the autoclave (1). At the same time, preferably, the sealing face (5) of the autoclave (1) carries a sealing ring (7) elastically deformable in the axial direction (8) by the pressure cover (2). The pressure cover (2) can be subjected to an external axial pressing force (P) directed towards the autoclave (1). As a result of the invention, the operation of opening and closing the autoclave (1) can be carried out easily and reliably within short times. <IMAGE>
