PURPOSE:To eliminate troublesome operation of a magnifying device which has the optical path for observation with the naked eye and the optical path of an image pickup system, by automatically correcting the focal point of a lens according to the visual power of an observer for the observation on a magnifying scale with the naked eye. CONSTITUTION:An automatic focus controller 1 operates a leukocyte sorting device to sort leukocytes, and also ouputs a command signal for focus matching to a device system register 3 on the basis of information on the focusing condition of an magnified image to move a lens l2 by a lens driving part 12 through a multiplexer 9, thus obtaining proper focal length. For observation with the naked eye, when a mirror M is rotated to change a device system optical path over to a naked-eye system optical path, a signal indicating a value close to the visual power of an observer is sent synchronously from an optical-path switching part 8 to a naked-eye system register 6 and a signal is sent from a visual-power fine adjustment part 7 as well. As a result, a signal which completely matches with the visual power of the operator is inputted to the lens driving part 12 to drive the lens l2 to the focal point. |
