The invention describes a wrist support for tennis players to be applied to the forearm of the player. It comprises a rigid, elongate, angular plate consisting of an elongate forearm section having the same width and merging in a hand section of diverging width extending at an obtuse angle relative to the forearm section. The plate is provided with at least three tapes which are fixed to the plate and are laid around the forearm of the player, around the hand or the index finger of the player as well as around the handle of the tennis racket in accordance with the arrangement on the plate and are fixed in a manner such that the back of the hand and the forearm of the player are kept in a pre-determined, obtuse angular position during play.
