PURPOSE:To automatically open a dumper in emergency, in a dumper device for an exhaust bypass stack, by electromagnetically attracting the dumper, having an opening character due to its own weight, with a clutch and equipping said clutch and control means of electric conduction to said clutch at interruption of electric power. CONSTITUTION:A dumper 2 is tiltably provided in a bypass stack 1 placed branching from a main stack 8. At normal operation of the dumper, a magnetic element 17, provided to a rocking arm 15 integrally formed with the dumper, is attracted by an electromagnetic clutch 4 to close a flow passage of the stack 1, while at interruption of electric power, the magnetic element 17 is separated from the clutch 4, and the dumper 2 is opened by its own weight to discharge gas, contained with dust, to the outside air from the stack 1. When electric conduction is restored, a solenoid valve 18 is operated to actuate an air cylinder 3, and a retaining plate 16 depresses a change arm 14, integrally formed with the dumper, to allow the dumper 2 to close the passage as in the original state, then the dust containing gas is caused to flow from a suction stack 9 to a dust collector machine. |
