PURPOSE:To enable typeprinting a special letter which is not involved in type accumulation, by attaching a dot matrix-type typeprinting means to a typeprinter using said type accumulation. CONSTITUTION:With respect to a typeprinting area P for one letter, the area is divided into a matrix state to prepare numerous divided position units M(e.g. m00-m44). Inputted letter data are judged by a special letter-recognizing circuit 6. (i) When the letter is an ordinary one (a letter present in type accumulation), each of the first control means 1 (selecting a type), the second control means 2 (moving to a typeprinting position) and the third control means 3 (typeprinting) is driven to do ordinary typeprinting operation. (ii) When the letter is a special one (a letter not-involved in the type accumulation), a type, e.g. ''.'' is selected and positioned on a specified typeprinting area P, and then the forth control means 4 is driven by a signal from a special letter dot pattern signal generator 7 to selectively typeprint the position unit M with the type ''.''. In this way, the special letter is formed. |
