摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to precisely control a tool diameter by the relatively small adjusting force of the manual force level of a worker with a simple structure of an adjusting working bar without performing any precise measurement control by preparing the adjusting working bar that turns a ratchet wheel by a prescribed angle of revolution. CONSTITUTION:A boring bar 10 is provided with a taper shank part 14 that inserts the rear end part of a tool body 12 into the tool primary shaft of a machine tool, and contains various mechanisms that adjust a cutting tool 18 and the position of the lip of said cutting tool itself near the tip part of said bar in the direction crossing the axis of the body 12. Then, when turning force is transmitted to a worm wheel 34 engaging with a worm 36 inside the body 12 to permit a rotary nut 30 to be rotated, the male screw part 22 of the cutting tool 18 is engaged with the female thread groove 32 of the nut 30, and the cutting tool 18 is formed to be impossible to be rotated by fitting the convex part of the cutting tool into a guide groove. Consequently, the adjustment of a precise tool diameter can be performed with a simple structure by relatively small adjusting force.
