PURPOSE:To improve durability of a leaf plate or the like of a means for preventing chatterring of a pad by providing a mechanism which checks the pad at the opposite side thereof from moving to the external periphery of a rotor at braking, between a backing metal of the pad and a support or a caliper. CONSTITUTION:A pair of pads 2 are slidably attached to a stage 8 of supports 1, which are formed at both sides of the periphery of a rotor 4 turning along with wheels, to be made in contact with the lower faces of the ears 9a at both ends of backing metal 9. Leaf springs 5 are provided between the ears 9a and a projection 10 of the support 1. Caliper pawls 3a of a caliper 3 attached to shafts 6, 7 which are provided through the supports 1, and a piston which is internally fit to the caliper 3 force the pads 2 against both side faces of the rotor 4. Thereafter, a solid spacer 11 having a L-shape section, for example is inserted along the inner side of said leaf spring 5. If a frictional force acts between a lining and the rotor 4 at braking, the spacer 11 checks an upward movement of the pad 2 at the opposite side of an anchor. |
