PURPOSE:To prevent the double feeding of paper sheets for sure by providing a specific reverse roller in parallel with a regular roller. CONSTITUTION:A regular roller 3-1 of separation rollers 3 is fitted to rotate for feeding and press the uuper side of a paper sheet 11, while a reverse roller 3-2 presses the underside of the paper sheet 11 or 12 to rotate for returning the paper sheet 11, and its peripheral velocity is selected higher than the roller 3-1. The quality of the material of rollers is selected so that the friction factor between the roller 3-2 and the paper sheet 11 and higher than that between paper sheets. The drive torque of the roller 3-2 is set at a fixed level lower than that of the roller 3-1. For example, when paper sheets 11, 12, and 13 are simultaneously supplied to rollers 3 by a let-out roller 2, the paper sheet 13 is returned by the roller 3-2, and the roller 2 stops working by the detection signal of the paper sheet 11 from a returning sensor 5. Then, the paper 12 is returned by the roller 3-2, and only the paper sheet 11 is inserted between feeding rollers 6 for feeding. |
