PURPOSE:To drive a drum precisely and in high speed, by means of a pulse motor when short pieces of pipe are inserted in order into grooves on an index drum driven intermittently. CONSTITUTION:The pipe 1' made in a pipe manufacturing line is cut to form a short pipe 1 by means of a running target cutting apparatus 2, the pipe piece move through a guide 3, and thet are inserted in grooves 4a of an index drum 4 which is driven by the first pulse motor 12. The drive shaft 14 of the second pulse motor 21 forces the pushing rod for positioning to engage with a positioning hole of the drum 4 through a crank lever to stop it precisely. Phase adjustment of two motors increases the response speed of rotation and stop, obtaining easily precise line-up of pipe pieces. |
