PURPOSE:To form the surface of a taken-up thread member into a tapered shape by using a traverser driving motor and a variable speed motor rotatable in both normal and reverse directions. CONSTITUTION:Tapered bobbins 16 are fixed to the shafts of torque motors 15, all in the same direction with respect to a traverser, and a variable speed moror 1 is used as a traverser driving motor. The speed of the motor 1 is increased at a constant rate by a suitable control circuit as link levers 8 move in the directions toward the small diameter sides of the tapered bobbins 16, but is decreased at a constant rate as they reversely move in the directions toward the large diameter sides of the bobbins 16. With this arrangement, the thread member may be taken up in a properly tapered shape even if a tapered bobbin is used as each bobbin 16, thereby the phenomenon of surface avalanche is hardly caused and the threaded member 12 can be smoothly rewound. |
