A circuit arrangement has a transmitting source (10) for transmitting a signal (40) to a transducer (30). Also provided is a receiver (20) for receiving a signal (50) from the transducer. The transmitter (10) and the receiver are each connected via a non-linear, two-terminal network (Z1,Z2) respectively, to the transducer (30). A third non-linear two-terminal network (Z3) is connected across the input of the receiver (20). The transducer (30) is specifically designed as an ultrasound-transducer, earthed on one side, and the three non-linear two-terminal networks (Z1,Z2,Z3) are specifically designed as passive elements.
