PURPOSE:To provide the titled recording material excellent in thermal response to a thermal head and long-time preservability, by a method wherein a resin layer composed of a specified copolymer is provided between a support and a heat-sensitive color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:A resin layer composed of a copolymer having a molecular weight of 5,000-500,000 consisting of 10-90mol% acrylamide and 90-10mol% at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of (meth)acrylic monomers and acrylonitrile is provided on the support. The heat-sensitive color forming layer composed of a diazo compound of formulaI, II or the like, a coupler (e.g., phenol), a heat-fusible substance having a melting point or a softening point of 50-250 deg.C (e.g., 2-tribromoethanol), a heat-fusible or heat-softening binder having a melting point or a softening point of 50-250 deg.C (e.g., PVC), etc. is provided on the resin layer. The recording material can be advantageously used as an output recording paper for a facsimile, an electric computer or the like, which requires a high-speed recording. |
