The element (12.1) is formed as a disk around a central drive (20) that rotates it inside the filter casing. The element is made of synthetic fibers, foam rubber, metal mesh or ceramics. As air is drawn through the filter by a fan (14) the liquid particles combine into droplets that are then driven to the periphery as the element rotates. Collection channels drain liquids with different densities at different radii. Preferred Features: The element can be in the form of a cylinder with coaxial or conical walls. The element can be in the form of two coaxial disks, of different filter materials, driven through a common shaft or by separate drives. The rotational speed(s) is variable to suit operational requirements.
