PURPOSE:To provide the titled recording material excellent in thermal response to a thermal head and long-time storability, by a method wherein a specified diazo compound layer containing a heat-fusible substance and a phloroglucinol layer are laminated on a support as separate layer. CONSTITUTION:Coating liquids prepared from at least one diazo compound selected from compounds of formulaI(wherein R1 is formula II-V; R2-4 is H, a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxy or halogen; Y1 is an acid residue or an acid residue forming a double salt with a metal) and/or phloroglucinol used as a coupler by mixing thereto 2-30pts.wt. (per 1pt.wt. diazo compound) heat-fusible substance having a melting point or a softening point of 50-250 deg.C (e.g., 2-tribromoethanol) are coated on a support as separate layers to laminate a diazo compound layer and a phloroglucinol layer. The recording material can be advantageously used as an output recording paper for a facsimile, an electronic computer or the like, which requires high-speed recording. |
