Bodies for the connectors are cut from a fiber reinforced plastic plate and threads are formed. Textile preforms for reinforcing the plastic plate are placed on top of each other so that the fibers in adjacent layers are perpendicular to or parallel to each other. An Independent claim is included for the screw constructed by the process. Preferred Features: For manufacturing corresponding nuts the plates are made with textile preforms having fibers oriented at 45 deg to those of the layers with parallel or perpendicular fibers located between the latter layers.
