摘要 The appts. to monitor the hairiness of a yarn has at least one test station at the ring spinning machine where the yarn is automatically scanned for its hairiness. The cops are sorted automatically according to the monitored values. The wound cops are checked for the yarn hairiness, by taking a given yarn length from the wound cop. The yarn hairiness is established over the whole cop contour, while the cop is rotated at the test station. An air stream aligns the hairs projecting from the yarn. As the yarn is taken for testing, it is unwound at the winder through a test station, or the cops are moved through the test station in steps. The test station is combined with a buffer station, giving an extended dwell time. The hairiness of the yarn can be monitored during spinning, at the yarn balloon. Or the hairy character of the yarn is checked by a mobile monitor. The wound cops are classified according to the registered level of yarn surface hairiness, for different applications. Cops wound with unsuitable yarns are rejected, and their spinning stations are identified to correct their working, pref. using the machine computer. An Independent claim is included for a yarn spinning assembly with a ring spinning machine, with a monitor (25) at a mobile service unit (26), which moves along the spinning stations (1), to measure the hairiness of the spun yarn (16). Preferred Features: The monitor (25), fitted with a stroboscope (33), is presented to a length of the ballooning yarn (22) at the spinning station (1). To monitor the wound yarn on cops, the wound cops are held on peg trays which are tested during the dwell time in a buffer zone, using a monitor (25) over the movement path. At the test station, each peg tray is raised to the level of the monitor, and it is lowered after scanning. When the peg tray is in the raised position, for scanning, it is rotated. A gripper, after the test station, removes faulty cops from the peg tray. The movement path for the peg trays in the buffer zone is structured to increase the dwell time, where the chain for the row of peg trays is interrupted to lengthen the dwell time.
